La Cúpula Cultural Center

La Cúpula Cultural Center is a bilingual (Spanish/English) multidisciplinary art center focused on international exchanges.

Inside the large, lavender complex are even exhibition rooms, a video room, a large garden with space for shows, a production workshop and two residences for artists. The building originally had a stable for the Palacio Cantón, and under the distinctive dome was an exercise area for horses.

La Cúpula currently works with different entities, both public and private:

• the Ministry of Culture and the Arts of the State of Yucatán
• the International Festival of Lights of Mexico
• the Merida International Brass Festival
• the Tomoko Mukaiyama Foundation, The Netherlands
• The Japan Foundation in Mexico
• the Alliance Francesa de Mérida
• the Regional Contemporary Art Fund of Pays de la Loire, France
• the A3-art Association, France
