Merida, Yucatan — Pop star Ricky Martin is coming to Merida for the fourth time, but this time his concert will be free and open to the public.

The Yucatan for Peace concert, timed to coincide with the Nobel laureate summit, will be staged at the Monumento a la Bandera on the Paseo de Montejo starting 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21.

A performance by Miguel Bose, the Panamanian pop new wave musician, was also confirmed. An official announcement is planned Thursday.

“The King of Latin Pop” has performed in Merida, first at the Kukulcan baseball stadium in 2011, and most recently at the Coliseo was built.

Martin made headlines over the weekend when he posted, for the first time, photos of the baby daughter he is raising with his husband, Jwan Yosef.

Lucia, who is 7 months old, was seen sitting on Martin’s lap, looking adorable in a flower-print top with red-striped baby bloomers and a blue bow in her hair.

He captioned the snapshot: “La luz de mis ojos,” or “the light of my eyes.”
