Another tropical wave will arrive no later than Saturday, bringing potential thunderstorms this weekend.

The storms are due to a pair of tropical waves and instability in upper levels of the atmosphere, said meteorologist Juan Antonio Palma.

Tropical wave No. 11 arrived Wednesday and will interact with a vortex at higher levels of the troposphere. This will give rise to strong thunderstorms that could be accompanied by squalls and even hail in some isolated locations.

It’s already humid and it’s getting hotter. Temperatures will reach 35C / 95F and feel like it’s closer to 50C / 122F.
