1. Coqui Coqui

The Coqui Coqui chain is famous for its variety of perfumes, spa treatments and rooms with unique atmospheres. Hidden in this boutique hotel is a single suite with private swimming pool.

2. Hacienda San José

When the beautiful Hacienda San José was remodeled, it was done with a deep respect for its history and its nature. Aside from tasteful furniture is a surprise: an imposing Ceiba, the sacred Mayan tree.

3. Mansion Mérida on the Park

This 19th-century French-style mansion has been restored to its original Parisian elegance. Its 14 suites are spacious and richly decorated. Some have direct access to the central patio or pool area, while other suites have a double-glazed balcony overlooking the beautiful and crowded Parque Hidalgo.

4. Hacienda Tamchen

Hacienda Tamchen combines the modern with the grandeur of its original architecture. Its master suite has a swimming pool off a private terrace, a meditation area and a spa area.

8. Zenti’k Project

The rooms are works of art. Literally. Renowned painters and muralists have passed by this charming boutique hotel in the Pueblo Magico of Valladolid and have embellished the walls.

9. The Diplomat

This pretty little thing is in the neighborhood of Santiago where the hosts treat you as long-time friends, writes Matador. “The Principal” room is divine, they say.
