Young artists are holding a gallery sale Saturday night at an alternative space called Punto Rojo.
The event is an opportunity for both young creative people to get exposure, and for customers to find fresh and new works of art.
The sale is being organized by La Galeria Le Cirque (map), which normally promotes established, often avant-garde artists in a space on the same street.
“It is a commitment and interest of Le Cirque to offer young emerging artists an alternative space for creative expression,” said Jorge Gutiérrez Caraveo, director of the gallery.
On this occasion there will be ten participating artists: Albert Iván Avilés Chin, Helen Mariel Cueva Martínez y Leonor, Edith Leyva Pech; Sheryl Paz, Santiago Alberto Manzanero Rodríguez, Iván Cervera Ojeda, Astrid Cob, María Patricia Escobar Doria and Alfredo Carranco y Tirado, who will offer a variety of works representing different techniques.
Punto Rojo’s sale is 6 to 10 p.m. at Calle 55A No. 537, between 68 and 70 in Barrio Santiago. Le Cirque is at Calle 55, No. 538, a few meters away.
