Employers doing business in the Historic Center of Merida, led by Chamber of Commerce Vice President Armando Chapur Achach, agreed today with the Secretary General of Government, Victor Caballero Duran, to perform a work plan to improve the city’s urban infrastructure  to attract tourism and boost the economy.

Caballero Duran recalled that the $400 million pesos in federal money has been allocated this year for tourist infrastructure in Yucatan and those resources would be used to improve the image, services and preserve the identity of Merida.

The work plan will incorporate La Plancha, a field which is on track to become a Central Park-type attraction.
