Mérida, Yucatán — Two rained-out events have returned to the White City’s cultural calendar.

A catwalk show, “This is the guayabera, fashion and much more,” and a concert with singers Armando Manzanero and Juan Pablo Manzanero, as well as Aranza, to be held next Saturday, Aug. 26, at 8 and 9 p.m. respectively at the Plaza Grande as part of Merida American Capital of Culture 2017.

Both shows were part of Noche Blanca in June, but heavy rains made the events impossible.

The guayabera show will be on Calle 61 between 60 and 62. Forty-five models will show menswear, women’s apparel and swimwear. Around 700 chairs will be supplied for onlookers.

For the concert, around 3,000 chairs will face a stage on Calle 60 between 61 and 63.

Entry for both events are free and public access will start at 6:30 p.m. No tickets are required.

Pop star Mario Bautista, whose concert was also rained out, will return in December, but a specific date has not been set.
