Red carpet fashion designer David Salomón‘s Fortuna Collection was marched down the runway, strikingly contrasted with its backdrop, the massive Mérida Cathedral, during Saturday’s sprawling Noche Blanca celebration.
It was the first time the Yucatecan designer presented at a public event in his beloved Mérida, where he shared a collection of 25 dresses. The designer has been based in Cancún for 20 years.
The runway featured international Fashion Week models as well as local women, accompanied by the Chamber Orchestra of Mérida under the direction of Maestro Russell Montañez Coronado.
Moreover, Salomón lent his creativity to La Noche Blanca with the design of the free bracelets given to visitors of the participating galleries and museums. Salomón’s creations have earned him inclusion on the Mexico Book of Fashion list of the 100 most influential people.
Here is a closer look at the collection that walked the Noche Blanca runway.
