The U.S. National Hurricane Center is keeping an eye on a large low-pressure system, northwest of the Bahamas, which could intensify tropical depression in the next few days.

At the very least, disturbance will produce heavy rains in Cuba, the Bahamas and Florida during the next few days. The system has only a 10% chance of becoming a hurricane, but that could change as environmental conditions shift, said NOAA.

Tropical waves 24 and 25 will reach Yucatan today and Saturday, respectively, bringing evening rains, said the local weather agency.

High temperatures and humidity will be accompanied by lightning and strong winds, said Conagua.
