Nighttime community BiciRuta
Sat., July 4 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
An event every month that begins at 5:00 pm on day First of the month, repeating indefinitely
The community bike ride is famous on Sunday mornings, but it also has once-a-month evening hours: BiciRuta Nocturna starts at Calle 47 and heads up the Paseo de Montejo to the Monumento a la Patria, usually the first Saturday of each month. A light-and-sound show will be shown at the monument.
The program takes place 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and unlike the normal weekly Sunday BiciRuta, where the east lane is closed off from cars, night cyclists will be given the west side of the Paseo.
Five events organized by the Department of Human Development are staged along the three-kilometer circuit. There will also be bicycle rental and hydration stations at the beginning and at the end of the route.
For over 10 years, the city’s BiciRuta (or bici-ruta) program has grown steadily, attracting families to the wide boulevard. The program encourages fitness and physical activity.
NOTE: Costs are in pesos. Events are occasionally postponed or canceled, or a listing could contain an error, so confirm with the organizer when possible.
