Prof. Shalanda Baker will discuss “Renewable Energy and Green Development in the Yucatán. The talk is free and open to the public
By 2018, nine renewable energy projects, including solar and wind developments, are due to be installed on the Yucatán Peninsula, a topic well known by the University of Hawaii law professor and Fulbright-García Robles Scholar.
Her scholarship has allowed her to research the intersections of energy reform, climate change, and indigenous rights issues in Mexico starting last fall.
