Sixteen art projects received between 20,000 and 100,000 pesos from the Municipal Fund for Visual Arts 2015, culture director Irving Berlin Villafaña announced.
One million pesos have been allocated for this fund.
Six paintings were selected: “Retratos Narrativos,” de Mohamed Ledesma Herrera; “Maya Op,” by Rafael Penroz Vicencio; “Alter-ado/ego,” by Irving Emanuel Ambriz Santini; “Sisal (Ziz-ha) y Sus Especies; Flora y Fauna del Ejido de Sisal” by Igor Froylán Solís Pedro.
In sculpture, two projects were chosen: “Serpientes” by Alejandro Farías Casanova and “Piedras que cuentan la historia y manos que crean estética” by Jesús Peraza Menéndez.
The projects will be incorporated into two seasons of programming at the Olimpo Cultural Center: from March to July and from September to December. Work will also be presented at the Museum of the City, the José Martí Cultural Center and on streets where it is possible to exhibit art.
