AMLO holding rallies Merida and Valladolid on Saturday

When Mexico’s president returns to Merida on Saturday, the first order of business will be a 12:30 p.m. public rally at the Deportivo La Inalámbrica, a sports complex on the city’s west side.

Then President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador will head to Valladolid for a 5:30 p.m. rally at the Fernando Novelo Sports Complex.

The announcement was made by AMLO’s point man in Yucatan, Joaquín “Huacho” Diaz Mena.

Diaz Mena is the state coordinator of federal government’s development programs, who is expected to run for governor under AMLO’s Morena party.

In Valladolid, Mayor Enrique Ayora Sosa, is also a Moreno party member.

Lopez Obrador’s full agenda has not been published. This will be his third visit to Yucatan since becoming president on Dec. 1.
