Where the Posada money went, Part II

After provisions were dropped off at the home for elderly residents, Yucatán Giving’s Kimmy Suki and her crew headed to the Caimede DIF orphanage to deliver 265 wrapped gifts to place under their tree.

The presents made a big entrance with the help of a friendly motorcycle club and a uniformed scout troop. Funds for provisions and children’s gifts were raised at our Christmas Posada on Sunday, and at other private parties around the city. Additionally, 75 of the toys were donated by Ochenta y Dos, a guesthouse that threw a large holiday party in which unwrapped presents were the price of entry.

“The joy, blessings and energy was high,” Kimmy posted on social media:

This was a venture brought to fruition by many hearts. The gifts were amazing, smiles fulfilling and full of love. Thank you to the donors: Yucatán Expat Life, Lee Steele and Melissa Adler, Patti Rogers and her zany group of friends, Fabienne O’Neill and the polo crew, Steve Creagh, Dave Omer Dodge and Patrick from the bottom of my heart. A big thank you to Grant Beare and the motorcycle club and Alain CM and the boys scout troop for helping to hand them out. Big hugs to Tami Stout who helped with transport of 18 jumbo bags and my beautiful kids Connor Degraff, Hailey DeGraff and Danny who wrapped all night long and handed them out.” — Kimmy Suki
