Warm temperatures return this week and will last until Christmas, thanks to a high-pressure system that has broken a pattern of gray skies and periodic rain.

The next few days will see highs of 30-34 degrees Celsius, 86-93 degrees Fahrenheit, with lows in the high 60s F.

Rainfall, if there is any, is expected to be isolated.

Also on Christmas morning, if you are up before dawn, be sure to look to the sky. This will be our first full-moon Christmas since 1977. Timing like this won’t occur again until 2034.

The last full moon of the year is called the “Full Cold Moon” because it coincides with the start of winter. The winter solstice came today, Dec. 21.
