Always free to the public the City of Mérida Museum has been housed in the lovely old post office building since 2007.
On permanent exhibit are objects and artwork to give contect to this storied municipality, from pre-Hispanic times, to Colonial days to the 20th century.
In temporary exhibit rooms, contemporary artists show their works.
With reservations and anywhere from 10 to 30 people, you can ask for guided tours of the museum from 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Tuesdays to Fridays. Tours last approximately 1.5 hours. Call 923-6869 ext. 85503, at least three weeks in advance.
