Here’s a school project appropriate for the high temperatures Mérida is enduring lately.

Óscar Tzun Novelo, a UADY student studying tourism, is attracting attention in the Plaza Grande with a strange-looking science project.

These gadgets — which measure oxygen and temperature levels along with light, noise and gamma rays — purport to measure the degree of “thermal comfort” felt by domestic and foreign visitors in the heart of Merida.
