As part of the Campaign Against National Influenza 2014, the Yucatán Health Sector yesterday launched a vaccination campaign in time for peak flu season.
The Ministry of Health (SSE) has reported that 140,000 residents have applied for influenza vaccines for vulnerable citizens: Children under 5, over 60, or with immunity disorders, pregnancy or diabetes.
So far this year, 121 flu cases have been reported in the state.
What are the symptoms?
Fever 38 ° C or more, cough and headache, accompanied by one or more of the following signs or symptoms:
- Runny nose
- Red nose
- Nasal congestion
- Joint pain
- Muscle pain
- Painful swallowing
- Chest pain
- Stomach ache
- Diarrhea
